Pitch

Pitch

What is pitch? Pitch is how low or high a sound is. It can be measured by it's frequency (Hertz). Tat is, the number of vibrations per second. The ukulele tuners in the class use this measurement to tell if a note is in tune. For example, the note A has a frequency of 440Hz.

Bronze Goal: I can identify high and low sounds

For this goal you do not need to compare notes. You just need to hear if the sound is high or low.
The Music Show: High and Low
Pitch: Has a quiz where you can practice

Silver  Goal: I can tell which note is higher or lower from two pitches that are far apart.

For this goal you need to listen to two notes and decide if the second note is higher or lower than the first.

Higher, Lower or the Same: Can you hear whether the note is higher, lower or the same?

Gold  Goal: I can tell which note is higher or lower from two pitches that are close together.

Pitch test: The better you are the harder it gets!
A similar game: What is the best percent you can get at the end of the game? It's pretty hard. I got down to 5% of a semitone, can you beat me?
